Edutainment4Care
Welcome to Edutainment4Care, an innovative project aimed at improving the psychological and educational well-being of oncology children through technological tools and interactive activities.
Education and entertainment become an integral part of the care of young cancer patients admitted to the Department of Maternal and Infant Salesi of the University Hospital of Marche (AOU Marche). The first trial of the project (from February to June 2025) is supported by Lions Club District 108A, will involve a group of patients aged 10-12 years in Marche. In parallel, the same experimenters presented a €400,000 European research and innovation project; will involve 11 international partners with the aim of extending and consolidating the impact of this initiative in European education and health contexts.

Our Association globally recognizes paediatric cancer among the 8 main targets of intervention. As a doctor for over 40 years it was therefore immediate for me the desire, unanimously shared by last year’s district governance, to direct to this initiative the fruit in particular of a careful management of the annual budget of the district as well as of the welcome fund-raising promoted by some Lions Clubs from Marche and Abruzzo that I thank with all my heart.
Marco Candela, Lions Club District 108A
We are therefore proud and grateful to the prestigious partnerships involved to be able to combine, with our contribution of 30 thousand euros, our vocation to serve, the implementation of an innovative project rich in new technologies for patients who touch us deeply in the heart, the necessary support for a “pilot” experiment that may soon express itself in deserved European dimensions
Goal?
