About the Project

Edutainment4Care (E4C) is designed to support children who experience prolonged hospitalisation, addressing both their educational continuity and emotional wellbeing. The project also targets educators, healthcare professionals, and higher education institutions seeking innovative approaches to inclusive and hospital-based learning.

Our approach

E4C adopts an interdisciplinary and learner-centred approach, integrating:

  • Educational robotics and digital tools
  • Edutainment methodologies (learning through play and engagement)
  • Edu–socio–psycho–medical perspectives
  • Co-creation with stakeholders, including children, educators, and healthcare professionals

This approach ensures that learning is meaningful, inclusive, and responsive to real-life needs.

How we support

E4C supports stakeholders through:

  • Implementation and evaluation in real hospital and educational settings
  • Policy recommendations to support long-term adoption
  • Development of edutainment protocols tailored to hospitalised children
  • Creation of a digital platform and open-access resources
  • Training for educators and healthcare professionals
